How It Works

ConnectPainters Marketplace works very easily.

In general, you first sign up as either a painter or a painting company (if you are a general contractor, use this option). The system will ask for your name, contact information, and some general information, like where you are located and other details.

Painting Companies

If you are a painting company, you pay a low monthly subscription fee, and then you post the jobs you have available that you need painters for. An email goes out to all the painters in the area and the painters bid on the job. You select the best bid, based on your own criteria, and hire the painter.


If you are a subcontractor or painter, you can upload photos of your work, proof of insurance, and licenses. Then, when a job is available in your area, you will get an email alerting you. You click the link, look at the details, and place a bid on the job. It’s that easy!

How to Get Started with the ConnectPainters System

First, click on the “SignUp Now” link here or at the top of the page.

The Details of How It Works

Once you have signed up, you will need to confirm your email address. Then, you can fill out the profile information about your company or yourself. This might include your proof of insurance, licenses, and other information relevant to your role. Next, you connect with painting companies or subcontractors that you want to do business with. If you are a subcontractor, you will want to connect with as many local painting companies and general contractors as you can. If you are a painting company or GC, you will want to connect with subcontractors that you already know and trust and check out the ones you don’t. If they have the right qualifications, click on the connect button and they will receive your requests for bids.

After that, whenever a painting company or GC posts a job, the subs they are connected to will automatically get emails telling them a job is available for bidding. After bids have been received, the painting company decides which subcontractor gets the job. The painters do their work and then they log back in to send an invoice to the painting company. The painting company pays and it’s all done!

In the meantime, the subcontractor can bid on other jobs and the painting company can post more jobs for them to bid on.
